Upheaval . . .

A pretty accurate title and description for my latest encounter with hormones! Any sisters out there? This time, the thyroid hormone was the robber of “everything good in life” for days on end, as the levels spiked and plummeted over a period of three or four weeks.

Alas. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18.

Leaving my endocrinologist last week, I felt a sense of relief knowing that there was indeed, a reason for my craziness and that HORMONAL PEACE would be restored as soon as the levels are stabilized.

Dear Frazzled Female Friend, take heart! Jesus is in charge, in control, and is our sanity . . . all the days until we make it to Heaven! His promise to us is His assurance that He’s our all in all in this fallen world. There IS a reason for the craziness…we’re not HOME yet! But one day, we’ll live in completion, perfection, and total resolution to all the upheavals of life!

Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid! (John 14;27)

Whooopeeee! I’m tellin’ ya – when ya hang on to Jesus, He gives you the peace that surpasses all understanding (Phil. 4:7). You see this PEACE originates in the heart of Christ Himself. When we as His children go through the upheavals of life, the peace of Jesus brings us straight to Him. That’s the best place EVER to live!

If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are missing out on the Source of Sanity and the Giver of Great Life – yes, even when all of life around you lies in the shambles of upheaval.

I invite you to click on the link on the HOMEPAGE to learn how to accept the gift of your salvation. Accepting the Lord as your personal Savior will help you climb out of the swampy mire of life. Living with Jesus is not living in a neutral place! By His power, He’ll lift you right out of that slimy pit and out of the mud and mire – setting your feet on a rock and giving you a firm place to stand! (Ps. 40:2)
